Kiara Pesante Haughton is a nationally recognized political strategist, communications executive, and justice advocate with nearly 20 years of experience advancing gender and racial justice.

She is the Founder and Chief Strategist of KPH Advisory Group, a senior strategy and advisory firm supporting organizations advancing equity, racial and gender justice, and systemic change. She was recently the Vice President of Campaigns and Communications at the National Women’s Law Center, where she led national media, digital, and influence campaigns that shaped public narrative and drove policy change for women and families.

Kiara has held senior leadership roles at Dēmos, BerlinRosen, and Civil Rights Corps, and previously led communications for the Democrats on the U.S. House Committee on Education and Labor. She has also worked with the Democratic National Committee and major national advocacy organizations across the country.

Named one of EBONY Magazine’s 100 Most Influential Black Americans, Kiara earned her master’s in Public Administration and Political Science from Howard University and her bachelor’s in Journalism from Auburn University. She lives in Washington, DC, with her husband and two daughters.
